I had to buy new shoes this weekend. Grr.

I'd only had my old ones for three years and they were falling apart. Both my old ones and my new ones cost about 40 GBP and I find it extremely annoying that they don't last for, like, ten years. Why is that?

But even worse, as is always the case with new shoes: they are tearing my feet apart! I am in extreme agony! I had to go into the Union shop this morning and buy a box of plasters. They haven't helped much. I'm really not looking forward to the walk home.
